Waawaate Fobister

Waawaate Fobister est un Anishnaabe de la Première Nation de Grassy Narrows du nord de Kenora, en Ontario. Auteur, comédien, danseur, chorégraphe et producteur, il a reçu son diplôme, (Distinguished Performance Award), du Humber College de Toronto (Theatre Performance Program). Agokwe a remporté six Dora Awards en 2009. Auteur et traducteur, Olivier Sylvestre détient un diplôme d’écriture dramatique de l’École nationale de théâtre et un baccalauréat en criminologie. Sa pièce La beauté du monde (Leméac) a gagné le Prix Gratien-Gélinas 2012 et a été finaliste aux Prix littéraires du Gouverneur général en 2015. Son texte La loi de la gravité, destiné aux adolescents, a remporté l’Aide à la création du Centre national du théâtre de Paris. Son conte Le No-Pain réveillon est publié dans l’édition 2013 des Contes urbains chez Dramaturges Éditeurs. Sa pièce jeune public La grande échappée est publiée chez Lansman.

Her piece The Beauty of the World (Leméac) won the Gratien-Gélinas Prize 2012 and was a finalist for the Governor General's Literary Awards in 2015. Her text The Law of Gravity, aimed at teenagers, won the Creative Aid of the National Theater Center of Paris. His tale The New Year's Eve is published in the 2013 edition of Urban Tales by Playwrights Publishers. Her young audience piece The Big Breakaway is published by Lansman.
