Daxa the Red Squirrel is a finger puppet designed by Tsimshian/Tlingit artist Bill Helin. 

"Hi, I'm Daxa and I'm a chatty fast-talking girl who likes to keep busy foraging for nuts and seeds and playing with my forest friends. Princess Klahowya is my very favorite friend because she always brings me treats and listens to what I have to say." 

This finger puppet works perfectly with other puppets and plush toys designed by Bill Helin, including Princess Klahowya and the Plush Longhouse, which can be used to house the finger puppets.

Gispy Orca is a finger puppet designed by Tsimshian/Tlingit artist Bill Helin. 

"Hi, my name is Gispy the orca whale. I love swimming with my family and friends. I love salmon too and I also like to help the canoe crew find their way in a storm or in the fog" I love jumping over their canoe too, it's fun. I am a protective mother and friend."

Ymas the Prince of Peace is a finger puppet designed by Tsimshian/Tlingit artist Bill Helin. 

Ymas is a coastal Indigenous boy from Tsimshian tribe Gitando.

"Hi, I live with my Aunt and Uncle in a long house near the Pacific Ocean. We are hunters and fishermen who work hard and sometimes I spend time with my friend Klahowya exploring the rainforest or going on canoe rides." 

This finger puppet works perfectly with other puppets and plush toys designed by Bill Helin, including the Canoe Set and Princess Klahowya. The design on Ymas the Prince of Peace's shirt also pairs well with our Hand Stamp, also designed by Bill Helin.

This flag features the message that Every Child Matters.

Carol Louie, well known Ktunaxa artist, provided the art for the feather and ideas for the design. Robert Louie (Ktunaxa) and Denice Louie (Athabascan) completed the design work in collaboration with their summer youth worker Gabe Kobasiuk (Cree).

Robert Louie is a residential school survivor. Most of his siblings also went to residential school. “The heart with the broken lines was used to show how the residential school affected our people, our connections, our teachings. Though fractured, the hearts of our people continue and remain strong. And in all of our hearts, at the center of our communities are the little ones, our future – represented by the child’s hand. The eagle feather honours and recognizes all the children who were forced into residential school.”

These flags are 36″ x 72″ (standard size flag) and come with grommets on the top and bottom of the left side. They have been approved by the Orange Shirt Society and have been smudged with sweetgrass and sage to honour the missing and the survivors of Residential schools.

With a moveable mouth and forelegs in the iconic coyote pose, this puppet will keep you howling with fun.
