Jurate Gertzbein

Jurate Gertzbein has written or contributed to over fifteen books, including Roadside Geology of Ontario and Rock ON: Geology of Ontario. She had a thirty-year career in geology working as an exploration geologist, interpretive geologist, prospector, mine inspector, and mineral development advisor for both provincial and federal governments. Even in retirement she stays active in geology by prospecting for gemstones and volunteering at geology events. Jurate splits her time between a remote lakeside camp in northwestern Ontario and a historic rock house in the Hill Country of Texas.
