Duncan Mercredi
Duncan Mercredi is a Cree and Métis poet from Winnipeg. In 2020, Mercredi became the second (after Di Brandt) Poet Laureate of Winnipeg. In 2021, he won the Manitowapow Award at the Manitoba Book Awards.

Duncan Mercredi was Winnipeg's Poet Laureate in 2021. In this frank, raw, and honest collection the poet chases down the river of who he is. Each bend, each stone, every waterfall, a sharing of self.
