Mary-Ellen Lang Collura was born, raised, and educated in Vancouver. She is a full-time senior secondary English, Creative Writing, History and Journalism teacher in Campbell River, where she lives with her children, horses, and other menagerie. She writes when not marking papers, gardening, or shoveling.
